"One of my favourite games I played today"
Trials of Power is the project I completed as part of my second year at Staffordshire University. The brief was to create a Board Game based around an item that can be found inside the Potteries Museum in Stoke-On-Trent; I chose a bust of the roman god, Mercury.

The aim of the game is to collect 5 artefacts from around the board before the other players, each turn a player roles the die and move around the board, if they land on a special space on the board, they are allowed to draw a card, which could either be a modifier card (positive or negative) or an artefact.
When the player acquire's 5 artefacts, they must get to the center square before the other player's catch you.
The game also includes combat mechanics which allows player's to go head to head in order to win another player's cards.
