The brief for this project was to take an existing 'metroidvania' framework, balance it, design a level and add three new features to the game. We were free to make any other changes that we liked.
For the three new features, i decided to add spells to the character which can be unlocked through the level, the first of which was a Raven morph which allowed the player to fly (this was my first time dealing with the player switching pawns), i also added a spell which drains the enemies health as well as a spell that directs the player to their objectives.
I also added in a 'teleporter' door and stairs like you would see in the original castlevanias.
