Red.exe is a 3rd person RPG-shooter, inspired by Warframe and Mass Effect.
This project was my third year project for university, for this project, I wanted to give myself more experience with creating animated playable characters (instead of static pawns), more complicated AI as well as different UI uses including minigames.
The main feature of the game besides the shooter mechanics, is the hacking mechanics, players are able to hack electronics around the levels such as explosives, cameras and computers, but more importantly they can hack enemies that they have stunned in combat to allow them to add an ally to their side.
For this project I also wanted to add more complexity to the game loops from my other projects, including save systems, player hubs and questing.
All functionality in the game was scripted by me using Blueprint in UE4, I also created all of the UI 2d assets, all assets that was not created by me can be found in the documentation file below (any blueprint used in the asset packs from the Epic marketplace were removed from the project).
